Jolly Running organise trail running events around the stunning Devon countryside and coast, the events are races for all running abilities in beautiful locations. Some of the races are quite quirky and unique where we’ve added the “Jolly Touch” to them, you could find yourself riding a steam train to the start line before you race it or sliding down a 30 metre waterslide mid race!
One constant emphasis that I keep in mind when planning any event is for it to be fun and enjoyable. I am a runner myself and aim to make the events inclusive for all ages and abilities and where every runner is important. My races range from children’s 1 mile fun runs to marathon and ultra distances.
Encouragement is for the events to be sociable, “jolly” gatherings where our love of running, events and enjoyment is the common bond.
Jolly Running love great race medals too and have fun designing ones that are a bit different. They spin, slide, have furry beards, are glittery and some glow in the dark.
The environment is important to us and in order for us to continue to be privileged to run in such beautiful surroundings we try to be as environmentally friendly as we possibly can and source products from local businesses. Some of our suppliers are Teign Valley Glass, Red Rock Brewery, Georgie Porgie’s Puddings, Hallett’s Bakery, Daisy Cakes and Langage Farm to name a few.
We are affiliated to England Athletics and The Trail Running Association.

Tracey founded Jolly Running in 2018. She is an EA LIRF run group leader and is also qualified as a guide runner having completed the Sight Loss Awareness and Guide Running
Tracey works night shifts for the NHS however, in her spare time she single handedly organises the events, with invaluable help on the day from her family and friends.
She was inspired to start her own running events business after
discovering her love for trail running and competing in events further
afield which made her want to bring something different and
fun to the Devon running scene. She loves the running community, and as
well as organising her own events she has organised races for a running
club and also enjoys helping out at many local events from marshalling,
registration, sweeper , to giving out medals and serving tea and cake.
Tracey’s creativity embraces colourful, sparkly and shiny things, hence
the rainbow Jolly Running logo and the medals she designs, her design
flair has been known to cause a few headaches with manufacturers when
she has pushed the boundaries of their production capabilities when her ideas are things they have not produced before.
