About the Races
Last year was our first year for this event and we kept the big surprise a secret until the day!! This year the secret’s out, it was a first for a trail running event and this 7.5 mile run gives you a 30 metre waterslide in it!! Yep you heard right, see the pictures below!! Our slide will have you screaming with laughter!
As well as the Water Slide our ‘Selfie with Santa’ and more festive touches will be back in this years event.
Christmas is a time for giving and this festive trail race gives you 7.5 generous miles set in the stunning private grounds of Escot.
With this event we donate a percentage to a chosen charity each year, the Extremely Jolly has the highest capacity of runners of all of our events and we donate £1 for every Extremely Jolly participant to the charity. This years charities are ones that were very easy to choose
This is a beautiful location and the fun route offers a variety of trails, mud, woodland tracks, paths, streams, quaint bridges, fields and water crossings. You may even be lucky enough to see a few deer on your run.
What else do we give you?
* A Unique Santa ‘furry beard’ bottle-opener medal
* A bandana muff thing
* A candy cane
* Plus a very special bottle of Extremely Jolly Christmas Spiced Beer produced exclusively for our event by our race sponsors Red Rock Brewery.
Fancy Dress is highly encouraged but optional, it adds to the festive spirit of the event, we will be donning some Christmas attire too, and there will be a gift for the one that catches our eye.
A change of clothes for afterwards is recommended as you will get wet bums, tums and feet.
There will also be hot food and drinks vendors to warm yourselves up.

Our Extremely Jolly Little Elves run is the new addition to our Extremely Jolly Event.
Organised specifically to include your little elves in the festive fun as we know by the 21st they’ll be pretty excited for Christmas!!
This is perfect for them burning off some of that pre-Christmas excitement. They can experience a little taste of what the adults encounter on the Extremely Jolly.
This year we’ve decided to let your children/little cherubs have a go on the waterslide and have incorporated it into a 1 mile fun run. The route is on some of the paths, trails and fields around Escot. The waterslide is purely for fun, it’s not compulsory that you experience it. You will get wet bums and tums so a change of clothes is strongly recommended for afterwards.
Our Extremely Jolly Little Elves run is taking place before the adults Extremely Jolly main race on Saturday 21st December 2019.
Registration for number pick up opens at 08:30am and the run starts at 10am.
Adults can enter with their children or solo as a pre-race warm up.
All participants need an entry.
Fancy Dress is highly encouraged as it adds to the festive spirit of the event and there will be a gift for the one that catches our eye.
As this is a fun run there will be no place prizes, timings or published results.
There will be a bespoke medal and a buff thingy for every finisher.
Due to the waterslide element the minimum age requirement for the Little Elves run is 8+ years. Sorry but we need to keep you safe.
Our race sponsor, Red Rock Brewery was founded in 2006 by the Parkes family. Since then, Lewis and sister Hollie Lang have grown it into a credible business, now producing an extensive range of award winning ales and craft beers that are sold in pubs, restaurants and retail outlets throughout the South West region.
The brewery is located on a farm nestled in the hills outside Bishopsteignton and despite it’s growth, Red Rock hasn’t lost its homegrown roots or its artisan way of producing the beers. Using the finest natural ingredients, including their own spring water, there’s something for everyone in the Red Rock range with 4 Craft Beers (including a multi award winning Pilsner), 8 traditional cask ales and 4 Slow beers as well as two seasonal Christmas Beers and a number of limited edition brews throughout the year.
Red Rock also has an onsite Tap Bar, The Old Workshop, fully stocked with their own beer and other local drinks. There’s a function room available for hire, plus a fantastic outside garden and terrace with panoramic views of the Teign estuary and out towards Dartmoor. Visit redrockbrewery.co.uk to find out more.
